Over the holiday season, there’s a lot of pressure to get things done. Buying gifts, seeing all your friends and family, cooking a lot of Christmas food – and of course, chances are you’ll have a lot of parties to attend! And you probably feel like you’d like to look your best at them. Here are four top tips on how to look good this winter.

Eat Well Over Winter
A lot of us end up gaining a few pounds over the winter. You often don’t tend to bare as much flesh as you do over the summer, and if you’re swathed in cozy sweaters and scarves then it’s easy to let yourself gain some weight – especially when there’s a lot of delicious Christmas food on offer! But there are things you can do to keep yourself at your pre-winter weight. Indulge in your favourite foods, but make sure you eat them in moderation and that you don’t snack between meal times.
What I also love to do is drink cleansing and detox teas. I usually start my mornings with a cup Skinny Coffee Club as it does help with feeling bloated and keep me energized for the morning. Then throughout the day I just sip on some tea or mint and water. Having anxiety, drinking too much caffeine can kill my mind at night.

Be Prepared For Holiday Parties
It’s a good idea to be prepared for any parties you might be invited to, so you don’t end up looking frantically through your closet and feeling like you don’t have anything to wear! At the start of December, look through your clothes for any pieces that you might have forgotten about, or you look online for women’s special occasion dresses. That means that if you’re suddenly invited to a party then you won’t have any problems figuring out what to wear!
One of the best accessories that I own is my KJCouture waist trainer. I often wear it especially when I’m out partying and I know I’ll have to slip into something tight. Other than that, wearing it almost everyday has helped shaped my body into forming the shape I want it to be. Keep Up With Your Skincare
Winter can be super harsh on everyone’s skin – especially when you reside in North America. I, on the other hand, live in Canada where the winter winds can be rough on the face. No matter how ‘ covered up’ you make yourself be, once you step outside your door it’s another story. The fact that it’s winter doesn’t mean that you should stop taking care of your skin. Admittedly this time of year it’s more of a battle to keep it hydrated and clear, but you should still make the effort to look and feel good.
Make sure you switch to a more intense, creamy moisturizer with a high SPF, and use night and eye cream before you go to bed. You could start cleansing with oil, which won’t strip any natural oils from your skin like some foaming cleansers do.
