No really, there’s a reason why you need to come early to have some MEAT. Not only does it get busy super fast but hours are very limited due to the fact that they smoke their own BBQ Meat during the day and serve at night.
MEAT is locally owned and is located in the heart of Whyte Ave.
If you’re wanting some authentic BBQ and homemade sauces (Cherry, Bourbon, Mustard and Spicy), take a trip MEAT for dinner but try coming before they open (5pm) to avoid line-ups. And no, they also don’t take reservations.
However, if you’re in the mood to wake up early enough for some brunch, they are open on weekends from 11am – 2pm!
Not only do they serve amazing BBQ and homemade sauces…
they also have mouth watering sides and majority of their alcohol are also locally made. Food is served on a communal tray with butcher paper which easily allows customers to simply dig in.
Two of my favorite sides were the garlic fries and the mac & cheese – both equally addicting and a great addition to the BBQ.
I personally haven’t had any of their dessert but the menu looks amazing.
I’m always way too full by the end of my meal to add on any dessert – perhaps one day when I learn to limit myself in some BBQ…
So if ever you’re in the area, I would suggest to stop by this amazing BBQ spot. They’re open everyday at 5pm on weekdays, 4pm on weekends.
